Out of the fold
I just quit the choir. God was that embarassing. Everybody got really silent as I tried to make my explanation exceedingly vague and polite in broken Japanese.
It went down like this. I realized one night after karaoke how much I like to sing. I started going to choir practices. They met three times a week and they really are lovely people.
Like three weeks later I learned that if I wanted to join I had to do chapel services as well. It's like two a month maybe, not that big a deal.
A week after that I learned that on top of regular practices and chapels, there were also three practices a week for each section. Which brings the sum total up to, what, like 6-7 events a week?
Hells no! Karaoke suits me just fine.

it sounds like everything is so extreme over there. i remember the days when i had 6 day per week school system back in China, totally wore me out. I bet if you join any Kendo club, it's gona be even more intense because kendo is very serious in Japan (i heard from a Japanese exchange student from APU here that you can actually major in kendo in a japanese university)
anyway, hopefully you're not annoyed of my comments, heh, i tend to procrastinate before doing any of my assignments and the first thing is going online and start ranting about anything not computer science related. >.<
Haha, now worries, I enjoy the comments. If you would only unlock your xanga I could even comment on your stuff.
Yeah, they reduced the school- and work-week to 5 days just a few years ago here. I don't think clubs have quite caught up to it yet, they still try to fit in like i^e practices in a week.
i tried to unlock it, but xanga doesn't seem to like the idea of non-xanga users posting on xanga sites, they just don't have the ability to do that. but i have re-opened the RSS. that's all i can do. stupid xanga
And that's why I hate xanga. Pox upon its seed.
